Manabu Mori (Shinobue/Composer)
Manabu Mori grew in Tokyo. He woke up to jazz music when he was a college student, and played saxophone and flute as a jazz musician in Tokyo. But he wondered himself handling music only as a job and suspended his musical activities. In 2008, he moved to Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, aiming to become a farmer. After two years of training, he started farming mainly on organic vegetables. As agriculture gose on track, he met Japanese bamboo flute "shino-bue" and gradually resumed his musical activities while being obsessed with the charm of shino-bue.
In 2017, he invited by Takeshi Takeda to form Japanese instrumental band "KARURA TRIO". While running farming, he captures farm life, nature, and splendor of life from his unique perspective, and makes them the source of composition.
Nobuaki Haga (Piano)
Nobuaki Haga has been playing classical piano from an early age and studied under Sumie Mori. He started playing jazz while he was at university and regularly performed in live houses in Tokyo and Yokohama. Currently, he widely plays in restaurants and live houses, and hosts jam sessions.
On the other hand, he has participated in support for bands of various genres such as rock, folk, bossa nova, African, and Irish music since his late 20's. He is evaluated with delicate touch and dynamic piano play.
Takeshi Takeda (Taiko Drums)
Takeshi Takeda was born in Kanagawa prefecture. His mother danced Japanese dance and he experienced festival music "Ohayshi" as an elementary school student. He started rock drum at the age of 15.
Afterwards, he studied jazz drums with Fumio Watanabe and African drums with Ryojiro Furusawa.
In the process of playing various styles and genres as an all-round drummer, he returned to the starting point to play a drum with a natural approach. To acquire Japanese traditional taiko skills, he studied festival music in the Edo period with Makoto Tanahashi . In order to incorporate drum techniques into Japanese taiko, he devised special Japanese taiko drums.
he is a drum teacher and a representative of Yokohama Music School "Music School More Harmony".
